To achieve the best results when installing greenhouses films, please follow Eiffel and Excalibur Plastics recommendations. INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS TIME OF THE YEAR: The recommended period for installation is during the warmer months when temperatures > 75°F. When installing during the recommended period the plastic will stretch easier giving you a proper install. STRUCTURES: Different structures may affect the plastics performance. Low pitch areas where there are plastic ripples will cause condensation buildup. You also need to avoid any obstruction to allow condensation to freely flow to the gutter. Otherwise condensation will buildup on plastic at the gutter in the form of a triangle. INSTALLATION: We always recommend a professional to install your greenhouse poly. You want to install the film, as stated above, during the warmer months to ensure it is tight. Always be sure that the stamp that is on the plastic is read from left to right from inside the greenhouse looking up. Otherwise, it will be installed upside down and will not perform correctly. The inside layer must be pulled tight and must be fastened, avoiding wrinkles. If there are wrinkles in the plastic condensation will stop and form a triangle. INFLATION: If there is too much air in between the two layers of film the condensation will stop at the point where it cannot run to the gutter. At that point the air pressure needs to be turned down until the condensation can run all the way to the gutter. Remember, water cannot go uphill against gravity. Rule of thumb, inflation is likely correct if you can see all the hoops down the row from walkaway to gable end. We strongly recommend that you pull your inflation air from the outside to avoid any moisture buildup between the 2 sheets of film.
